An updated version of the Nutritional Assessment Questionnaire (NAQ) was released in April 2024.
When the NTA updated the core curriculum for the NTP program, we made some shifts in how the Foundations are categorized. For example, hydration, fatty acids, and mineral balance were nested into the Foundation of a Nutrient Dense Diet. Additionally, the topics of Sleep and Stress were elevated official Foundations. To align with this updated framework, we needed to make some adjustments to the NAQ and its outputs.
NAQ V2 Overview Video

We explain why NAQ was updated and how the new version differs from the original. The video then provides a brief introduction to each of the associated reports and graphs that are generated when a client submits the NAQ V2.

Can I still use the original NAQ V1?
Yes, absolutely! The original NAQ which you were trained on is still an exceptional tool and provides all the same clinical insight the V2 version provides, the information is just organized differently. We wanted to provide the updated version to all users, as some people may find they like some of the features we’ve added or the new way of looking at the data categories—but we expect most practitioners will continue to use the standard version of the NAQ and they will still achieve the same supportive results for their clients.
